Swahili Instruction

20 years of experience

Paulo Kateme has been teaching Swahili for over two decades now. Over the years, he has taught dozens of diplomats, hundreds of American Peace Corps volunteers and hundreds of exchange students, missionaries, and volunteers from all over the world. He will adjust his content and pace to fit your learning style. He can accommodate private or group lessons

Practical skills and cultural sensitivity

Paulo is a big believer in just getting out and using the language. He will teach you a principle and then you will practice it in real-world situations such as in a restaurant, at the market, with a traditional healer, at the bus stand, or visiting a family at home. He has connections in Iringa, Dar es Salaam, and Zanzibar, and has lived all over Tanzania, so he draws on a wealth of knowledge about the different cultures in Tanzania.

What we offer:

· Private and group lessons

· Lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced students

· Short intensive courses

· Practice in real world situations

· Cultural experiences
